Our Beliefs

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired infallible, and authoritative Word of God.  It is our ultimate rule and guide for faith and conduct.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness." 2 Timothy 3:16

We believe in the one true God, who exists eternally in three persons: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit.

"May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship if the Holy Spirit be with you all." 2 Corinthians 13:14

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the "Word made flesh." We believe in His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal future return to earth in power and glory.  It is Jesus Christ that offers salvation to all who believe and He empowers us through His Holy Spirit.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the word was with God, and the Word was God... The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us." John 1:1 & 14 

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

 Because the world is sinful, we believe Jesus' death and resurrection offered us salvation, which is a free gift received through faith and trust in Jesus Christ alone apart from works. We cannot earn salvation by trying to be good enough on our own. It means that even though we've all made mistakes, God chooses to forgive us, through Jesus, and give us a fresh start simply because He loves us.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:8

We believe that when we ask God to forgive us of our sinful ways and we choose to live our life for Him, we have become Born Again. We experience a spiritual transformation where God gives us a brand-new heart and a fresh start. By turning away from our old ways and putting our trust in Jesus, the Holy Spirit breathes new life in us, making us a child of God and part of his eternal family.

"Jesus replied, very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again." John 3:3

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation: the old has gone, the new has come." 

2 Corinthians 5:17

We believe the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a powerful gift from God available to every believer. It is an experience that follows salvation, where the Holy Spirit fills us to overflowing- giving us power to be bold witnesses for Jesus, to live a holy life, and to operate in supernatural spiritual gifts. This experience is typically accompanied by the initial physical evidence of speaking in other tongues.

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses... to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8

"All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them." Acts 2:4 

We believe that deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers today.

 "And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven." James 5:15

We believe in the "Blessed Hope" - the certain hope that Jesus Christ will return to earth in power and glory.  We believe that His return will happen in two stages: First, the catching away (Rapture) of those who believe in Him, and later His visible return to reign as King. This truth motivates us to live holy lives and to share the Goodnews with urgency, knowing that our King is coming soon.

"In my Father's house are many rooms... I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me." John 14:2-3

We believe in the glorious resurrection of those who have died believing in Jesus. When Christ returns, the bodies of the "dead in Christ" will be raised first- transformed into eternal, glorified bodies - to be reunited with their spirits and live forever in the presence of the Lord. This is our great victory over death and the fulfillment of God's promise to all who follow Him.

"For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a loud command... and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air." 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

We believe that every person will live forever in one of two places. Those who have been saved through faith in Jesus will enjoy eternal life in the presence of God- a place of perfect peace, joy, and restoration. Conversely, those who have rejected God's gift of salvation will face eternal judgment, separated from His presence forever.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"Then they, the unrighteous, will go away to eternal punishment, but he righteous to eternal life." Matthew 25:46
